The Bayan Lepas International Airport is about 14 kilometers from Georgetown, mostly all airlines are operating in Penang or online with Malaysian Airlines via KLIA, there are two (2) airports in Penang, one at Bayan Lepas is ground handled by MAS and the other one in Batu Maung, which is handled by KLAS

The Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone is situated at the southern part of Penang Island and most of factories and manufacturers in Penang are electronics manufactures and its described as “the Silicon Valley”, to name a few, they are Motorola, Intel, Agilent, Avargo, Dell Computers, Jabil, Plexus and B. Braun Medical.
